Aquabox is a community-led project supported by over 150 volunteers. Each week, they gather at the depot to assemble and test water filters, and pack them—along with over 40 essential aid items—into blue Aquaboxes. These boxes are then sent to areas affected by natural or man-made disasters.

About the event
A visit to the Aquabox depot brings the whole operation to life. You can watch the assembly teams put together and test the water filters to make sure they work properly. Then, see the packing teams in action as they skillfully fit all the aid items and filtration units into the Aquaboxes—somehow managing to close the lid every time! Think you're good at packing for holidays? You’ll even get a chance to try packing an Aquabox yourself!
This 90 minute visit is for up to 15 students, any year group.
A reat visit to showcase the different jobs that are required to keep Aquabox doing their amazing work. The visit is also able to link into curriculum areas that could include sustainability; water famine, disaster relief and many other
