About the event

Calke Abbey tells the story of the dramatic decline of a country house estate. The house and stables are little restored, with many abandoned areas vividly portraying a period in the 20th century when numerous country houses did not survive to tell their story.


Calke Abbey is a Nation Trust property and one that is now on the rise for events and sight seers alike.


Calke Abbey has over 600 acres of parkland, a deer park and numerous. ponds. As well as the house Calke Abbey has a 19th century church, a walled garden and a domed orangery.


It is also an events business for corporate events as well as personal celebrations.


All this requires a myriad of staff to support the wide range of activities.
