Formed in 1996, the EA - Environment Agency - has regulatory powers to protect people and the environment and to contribute to sustainable development. Its priorities include tackling pollution by regulating business activities that could cause harm to air, land or water.

About the event
The Environment Agency has been the subject of a great deal of discussion in recent years, which has helped increase public awareness of some of their work. 15 students will get the chance to gain some further knowledge about the responsibilities of the EA during this session. The session's goal is to provide the students with an opportunity to see some real-world examples of the jobs they perform in addition to some of the required equipment.
The session:
Open to all secondary students in the Long Eaton or West Bridgford areas
The session will last 30-45 minutes.
