Kingsway Hospital - construction visit

IHP Kingsway (a joint venture between VINCI Building and Sir Robert McAlpine) is a 54 bed mental health unit, and is part of the Making Room For Dignity programme which aims to eradicate dormitory accommodation in Mental Health units- in addition to a 14 bed Phycological Intensive Care Unit.

The project is just over 50% completed, and is located within the grounds of the Kingsway Hospital in Derby.

Its an ideal opportunity for students (upto 15 students on this visit) to experience a working construction site, hear from some of the site workers and to showcase the various opportunities that lay within local construction sites.
