United cast Bar Visit

If you were intending to visit us or need any assistance we would be pleased to arrange to visit your school or college to talk with students interested in STEM subjects, offer advice and support on careers and employability and generally introduce and you to our industry and show you manufacturing at work with our Foundry in a Box presentation.

Our aim is to inspire and encourage young people to learn more about the importance of manufacturing in the World today and showcase the multitude of career pathways that are available in this sector. We will show what interesting and rewarding careers are available in these Industries, to inspire a new generation of engineers, material specialist and managers of the future.

United Cast Bar’s aim is to employ and train local people, inspire the young and build a strong recruitment pipeline addressing the current industry skills gaps, ensuring a flow of future recruits for jobs within our company and industries.

We would arrange to visit you along with some of our current team of apprentices, all of which were employed and recruited from local schools. We would also like to show videos showcasing both United Cast Bar and our industry in general.

UCB is a sghining light of Chesterfield industry. They have supported many visits ove rthe last 10+ years and are eager to showcase roles within their foundry.

The visits are for up to 15 students and they are able to cater for all secondary year groups.
